At Newton Abbot Racecourse, we aim to provide Owners and Trainers with a professional, well-organised and welcoming raceday experience. With dedicated facilities, quality hospitality and clear access to key areas of the racecourse, every detail is designed to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Horse Care
The care and safety of horses and jockeys is the highest priority at Newton Abbot Racecourse. Every raceday is supported by experienced veterinary teams, strict safety procedures and standards set by the British Horseracing Authority.
From on-site vets positioned around the course to rapid response protocols and specialist facilities, every measure is in place to minimise risk and respond quickly to any incident.
Arrival at the Racecourse
Owners and Trainers benefit from a dedicated entrance located off the main road by the roundabout opposite Tesco, along with a private car park for easy access. The racecourse is well signposted from the A380 and A38, and can be reached using the postcode TQ12 3AF for Satnav.
Owners & Trainers Lounge
Situated opposite the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure, the Owners & Trainers Lounge offers a secure and comfortable space to relax throughout the day. From gates opening, a selection of bowl food is served on a rotating basis up to the fourth race, followed by traditional Devon scones. A full bar service is available throughout, with no vouchers required.
Facilities
A range of dedicated facilities are in place to ensure a smooth raceday experience, including a private Owners’ entrance, dedicated car park and exclusive lounge access. Owners and Trainers also have access to a reserved viewing area in the main grandstand, with big screen coverage available at every fixture.
Dress Code
The dress code at Newton Abbot Racecourse is smart casual with jeans and shorts permitted in the both the Course and Paddock Enclosures. Racegoers are reminded that wearing a vest or going without a top is not permitted in the Paddock Enclosure.
The dress code in the restaurants is smart/casual – shorts, t-shirts, sports attire, ripped denim jeans and trainers are not permitted. Smart jeans are permitted.
This only applies to the Paddock Restaurant and Winning Post Restaurant which are bookable in advance and not the Paddock Eaterie.
Fixtures
Newton Abbot hosts a full programme of summer jump racing, with fixtures taking place throughout the season. Owners and Trainers are welcomed at every meeting, with facilities and services in place to ensure a consistent and enjoyable raceday experience.
