Jockey Signing Hub proves a hit with racegoers
We were delighted to welcome two of jump racing's leading jockeys, Sam Twiston-Davies and Brendan Powell, to our Jockey Signing Hub during our ABBA-themed evening fixture on Thursday.
The hub proved hugely popular, with racegoers heading along to meet the jockeys, have their racecards signed and grab a selfie with two familiar faces from the weighing room.
The event formed part of our celebrations for National Racehorse Week, which runs from 22ns–31st August and celebrates the racehorses, people and passion behind British racing.
We love giving our racegoers opportunities to get closer to the sport, and the Jockey Signing Hub was a fantastic way to bring some of the personalities from the racetrack directly to our visitors.
Sam and Brendan were both happy to chat with racegoers, answer questions and sign racecards throughout the session, creating some memorable moments for those who came along.
The signing hub was just one of the highlights of a packed evening, which also featured exciting jumps racing, an ABBA tribute act, our ABBA Style Icon competition and plenty of entertainment.
A huge thank you to Harry and Brendan for taking the time to meet our racegoers, and to everyone who came along and made the Jockey Signing Hub such a success.
We were particularly pleased to see such a positive response as part of our National Racehorse Week celebrations. The week is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible horses, people and passion that sit at the heart of our sport.
We look forward to continuing to find new ways to bring our racegoers closer to the racing world and give them the chance to meet the people who help make the sport so special.
