This year’s Newton Abbot’s racing programme reaches the halfway stage on Friday and Wild Max, a winner of two of his three starts this season, including over course and distance, can land the feature race of the afternoon, the Class 3 St Austell Brewery Novices’ Chase over two miles and half a furlong.
Start your weekend on a high and join us for more action-packed afternoon racing at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Friday 1 July.
Gates will open at 12noon ahead of the afternoon’s first race at 2pm. The last of the afternoon’s ‘official’ racing is set for 5.23pm but do stick around as at 6pm on Friday we’re delighted to be hosting the Racing Staff Week Cup charity race which will see some of the country’s stable staff take the reins and race towards the Winning Post to take this year’s cup title
