The Season Finale proved a good afternoon for champion trainer Paul Nicholls and jockey Harry Cobden who landed a treble with Complete Unknown, Farnoge and Take Your Time.
We’re delighted to confirm that this morning’s inspection was passed and our Season Finale goes ahead this afternoon.
Gates open at 11.05am ahead of our first race of the day at 1.05pm.
Saturday sees the last meeting of Newton Abbot’s 2023 season and it could prove a good afternoon for champion trainer Paul Nicholls who has a host of live chances.
Nicholls runs Complete Unknown, twice a winner over fences last season, in the feature £22,500 Talk Tidy Marketing Intermediate Chase run over a distance of two miles and five furlongs. On official ratings, he should have the beating of Ballygrifincottage who, after winning at Haydock Park, rather lost his way, being pulled up on his last two starts. He was reported as having bled from the nose at Wetherby and ran over hurdles next time, also failing to complete the course, but returns after wind surgery here.
