There is plenty of action coming up at Newton Abbot in the next two months with six meetings in all for racegoers to enjoy, starting with next Monday’s seven-race card.
Monday’s meeting gets underway at 2.15pm with the At The Races Sky 415 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle over two and three-quarter miles. The highlight is the Class 3 SIS At The Heart of Racing Novices´ Chase and the afternoon finishes with the SIS Bringing Betting To Life Handicap Hurdle at 5.15pm.
The betting market made the opener The NewtonAbbotRace On Twitter Novices’ Hurdle Race 2m 6f a two horse match and it proved to be right as they both turned for home. It was the 8/13f VESPERAL DREAM trained by Paul Nicholls who finally edged out Lexicon Lad taking the lead approaching what turned out to be the last (usual two out) going clear under Harry Derham to win by a 4 length margin.
We’re excited to announce that we are the proud sponsors of Titan, the incredible robot, at this year’s Devon County Show. If you’re planning on going along to this year’s show between May 22nd & 24th, be sure to look out for Titan and send us your pictures of him in action.
Rain early in the day change the going too heavy with soft in places. The SIS At The Heart Of Betting “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle 2m 3f proved to be a competitive race with five runners going clear.
