Passing Call, an unlucky loser on her last visit, landed Newton Abbot’s big race at the course’s final evening meeting of the year on Tuesday, taking the Class 3 newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Hurdle by four lengths from outsider Garo De Juilley.
Although we are still in August, the days are already getting shorter and Newton Abbot stages the last of its evening meetings today with a six-race card topped by the Class 3 newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Hurdle over two miles.
After a short break, summer jump racing returns to Great Britain today, with Newton Abbot putting up over £70,000 in prize money for its seven-race card, topped by the Class 3 Racegoers Club 50th Anniversary Novices’ Chase.
