Raising Awareness of Mental Health
On Wednesday 15 May we are delighted to be joined by Devon Mind and Racing Welfare for our fixture which falls during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Both organisations will be on hand to help raise awareness of mental health issues and the support that is available for those within the horseracing industry and the wider members of the public.
Devon Mind is a mental health charity dedicated to supporting people to recover from mental ill-health. The charity has been operating in Plymouth for 34 years as Plymouth Mind and in April 2019, it opened Devon Mind. The long term aim for Devon Mind is to reach communities who have little to no access to mental health support across Devon.

Racing Welfare is the only charity that supports people who work in racing – including stud, stable and racecourse staff, alongside those working in associated professions. The charity provides a wide range of advice and guidance services, all of which are completely confidential and non-judgemental.
One in four people in the UK struggle with mental health issues during their life and Racing Welfare will be partnering with racing’s stakeholders to spread the message to reach as many people as possible during Mental Health Awareness Week.
