Newton Abbot Racecourse shortlisted in the 2015 RCA Awards
Newton Abbot Racecourse is proud to announce that it has been selected by a renowned panel of judges as a finalist in this year’s Racecourse Association (RCA) Showcase and Awards.
The eight categories in the RCA Awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the UK racecourse industry: Newton Abbot was picked as one of the five finalists in the All about the Horse category which focuses on celebrating initiatives that enhance racegoers’ knowledge and engagement with horses and the sport of horseracing.
Newton Abbot’s entry looked at their new Racing Syndicate which offers horseracing enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the excitement of owning a share in a racehorse for a year. Being a member of the syndicate gives rise to a number of benefits including stable visits with a talk from leading national hunt trainer Philip Hobbs to find out more about how racehorses are cared for and the work that takes place behind the scenes to prepare the horse for racing. Being part of a syndicate is an affordable and low risk way of realising your dreams of being part of the sport of kings…
The final winners of the RCA Awards will be announced on Thursday 12 November at the RCA Awards event which this year will be held at Ascot Racecourse.
Good luck Newton Abbot!
