Newton Abbot Country Show 2022 - FAQs

If you’re planning on joining us at this year’s Newton Abbot Racecourse Country Show, here is everything you need to know ahead of your visit:

Where does the Newton Abbot Racecourse Country Show take place?

The name gives it away – the Country Show will take place in the heart of Newton Abbot Racecourse with a mix of indoor and outdoor elements to enjoy.

What time does the Country Show open?

The 2022 Country Show will open at 10am on Saturday 6 August and will close at 4pm.

How much is entry to the show?

Tickets to the 2022 Newton Abbot Racecourse Country Show are on sale now at just £5 for adults when booking in advance or £6 if buying at the gate on the day.

Children aged 16 and under enjoy FREE entry when accompanied by an adult.

Tickets can be purchased today via our online ticket store

Is parking available at the Country Show?

Yes, there will be ample FREE on-site parking at the racecourse and this will be situated in the centre of the course. Car entrance will be the same as on racedays, with entry via Greenhill Way. No entrance is permitted via the main drive opposite Tesco.

We’ll be arriving on foot – where do we enter?

Our Pedestrian entrance is accessible from the layby, opposite Tesco – please see map for location

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at the Country Show but must be kept on leads at all times and are asked not to enter the Silks Lounge or near the animals.

As the Country Show is in August and we’re hopeful for nice weather, please do not leave dogs unattended in cars for their own safety as it can get warm very quickly.

Are there things for Children to do?

We have lots of activities lined up for children to enjoy including: Humaryn Shetland pony rides (£5 inc. a free rosette), Exmouth Miniature Train rides (£2 a ride), SW Inflatables Bouncy Castle & Trampoline (prices TBC) plus our children’s play area.

There are also lots of demonstrations to enjoy too, including:
• Dartmoor Hill Pony Display Team
• Victor Pitts Sheepdog display with ducks

Is there a map available?

Yes, a map will be given to all families upon entry – but a copy of the map highlighting all key areas of the show can be found here

Will there be stalls to visit / shop with?

Alongside our Agricultural and Country Zone, we’re delighted to be joined by over 80 local companies and organisations in our Indoor Craft & Gift Zone and outside stalls. Head over to our Country Show page to view the full list of exhibitors – Newton Abbot Country Show 2022
