Deadline Approaches for Newton Abbot's £100K Self-funded Fixture
Horseracing fans looking to see some of the best summer jumps horses and jockeys in the country compete at Newton Abbot Racecourse’s £100,000 self-funded fixture on Saturday 3rd August are reminded that the early booking offer deadline is just a few days away.
To celebrate such a momentous fixture at the racecourse, Newton Abbot are again offering an unmissable ticket offer where racegoers can buy Paddock Enclosure tickets for just £10 when purchased before Monday 3rd June. After this date, tickets for the 3rd August fixture will be on sale at the standard price of £18 for the Paddock Enclosure or £12 for the Course Enclosure.
Patrick Masterson, Managing Director at Newton Abbot Racecourse explained the reasoning for introducing the self-funded fixture: “Due to changes in the scheduling of fixtures last year, we were faced with the prospect of holding just one fixture between the end of July and end of August.”
“Traditionally, the summer holiday period is one of the busiest times at the course as not only are local people taking advantage of the warmer weather, but there is an influx of holiday makers into the South West who are looking to be entertained.”
“To hold just one fixture during this period would have had a significant impact on the racecourse so the decision was made to hold a fully self-funded fixture with a guaranteed prize fund of £100,000. We had such a tremendous response from racing fans, owners and jockeys last year that we decided to repeat it again this season.”
As part of the promotion of the richest fixture at the course, all racegoers who purchase their tickets before the early booking deadline can enjoy a reduced price Paddock Enclosure ticket for just £10. To take advantage of the early-booking promotion, tickets must be purchased by Monday 3rd June 2013.
As per all fixtures at the racecourse this season, children aged 16 and under and students with a valid student ID or NUS card can enjoy free entry to the racecourse.
