An Important Update From The Managing Director

We very much hope all our Newton Abbot patrons are well in these very difficult times.

Newton Abbot has been decimated with abandonments since last September, and during Covid-19 we have lost our first eight fixtures.

Currently jump racing is scheduled to start again on 1 July, however this is only if the Government and its medical advisors deem it safe enough for us to do so.

Our Industry is working hard with the Government and other sporting bodies.

Nothing can hide the disappointment that my staff and I feel for all our racegoers planning to come and enjoy a day at our Racecourse.

These are unprecedented circumstances and we will always treat public health and safety as well as the welfare of all those within the racing industry with utmost importance.

Please rest assured that if you have booked tickets or hospitality for meetings that have been abandoned you have the ability to transfer them to another fixture this year or next.

Otherwise your refunds will be made within 14 days from the date your fixture was due to run.

We are still unsure as to what will happen to fixtures from 1 July but we will update this message when further Government advice is received.

For all our Annual Members, we will be writing to you as soon as we know what will happen to our last 10 fixtures.

As ever, we would like to thank all of our customers for their understanding at this time.

Stay safe.

Best wishes
Patrick Masterson
