Currently all horseracing fixtures in England must take place behind closed doors and without spectators. The Government announced plans to help the country out of its national lockdown and we are hopeful that from 17 May 2021 racing will be able to welcome up to 4,000 spectators if the Government’s tests are met for moving into Phase 3 of lifting lockdown restrictions.
For some racecourses, including Newton Abbot, the 2m distancing rule will need to be lifted to enable us to resume normal operations. With this in mind, we will not be opening ticket bookings until Monday 17 May. We are, however, taking provisional bookings for private box and restaurant reservations but will not be taking deposits until we have a clearer picture of when we can fully open. Please call the racecourse office on 01626 353235 to discuss with our staff all the opportunities available.
