Registered with Devon County Social Services, we meet
the stringent requirements of the 1989 Children Act.
From April 1997 we have participated fully in the Government
sponsored Education Scheme and Ofsted inspection programme.

The creche offers facilities each race day for your
children. They are looked after by professional people.

The Staff
Our dedicated team, consisting of Child Care Staff,
Cook and Nursery Manager are specifically trained and
experienced in the care of young children and babies.
Staff are here to meet your child's physical, social,
emotional and educational needs while at Nursery, and
to ensure you are kept up to date on their progress.
It is our policy that in addition to their child care
qualifications, all staff are trained in First Aid,
Food Hygiene and Fire Safety.

Your Child at Happy Days
For much of their time at Nursery your child will join
a small group of children of similar age and ability,
looked after by the same member of staff, in a system
known as the key worker system. Within these family-style
groups children play, work and eat together, giving
them a sense of security and continuity.
Each session your child will have the opportunity to
try a wide range of activities planned by the staff
to promote their learning and overall development. They
will also gain the vital social skills which enable
them to play and share with others.
Your Baby at Happy Days
Our cosy Baby Room has room for up to 3 babies at a
time with full provision for sleep and play. Staff work
very closely with you, the parents, and at the end of
each session give you a detailed account. Morning and
Day Sessions include a late breakfast and two course
lunch. In addition, tea, consisting of fresh fruit,
biscuits or cake and a drink, is provided for day and
afternoon children.
