FAQ's from Newton Abbot

We want to ensure your day at Newton Abbot is a good one and meet with your expectations.

Which enclosure should I choose?
Newton Abbot has two enclosures; the course and the paddock. All enclosures have excellent all round viewing. The course has bars, food outlets, grandstand and betting facilities. The paddock has in addition three restaurants and a parade ring together with more food outlets and bars.

Do I need to book tickets?
Admission badges can be booked online through the website or by calling the Racecourse office on 01626 353235

What discounts do we offer to groups?
Parties of 10 or more receive £10% discount if booked and paid in advance.
Parties of 25 or more receive 10% discount plus 2 free tickets (also if booked and paid in advance).

N.B. Group Discounts are only applicable to the Paddock tickets.

Is Newton Abbot suitable for children?
All children under 16 are admitted free to all meetings. On selected days we provide a variety of entertainment and attractions to appeal to children including face painting, bouncy castle and children's rides. In addition we provide a crèche at every meeting further details can be seen on the racing menu bar.

Are there facilities for people with disabilities?
At Newton Abbot we aim to provide an accessible environment for all our racegoers, particularly those with disabilities. We provide viewing ramps on the course, disabled toilets, disabled car parking spaces although limited and lifts to all floors. We have very friendly staff who are always willing to give a hand please ask for assistance.

Is there a dress code?
Newton Abbot does not operate a strict dress code but recommends smart casual wear for both enclosures.

Can I bring my dog to the racecourse?
With exception of Guide Dogs for the Blind, dogs are not permitted on the racecourse.

Do I pay for parking?
There is ample free parking at the Racecourse. However should you wish to park on the rails parking is £3 on a first come first served basis.

Where can I get food and drink?
Both enclosures have a wide range of catering facilities including a variety of hot and cold food including burgers, fish and chips, pork baps, sandwiches, cakes and beverages.

Within the paddock enclosure we have the Winning Post Restaurant, Paddock Restaurant and the Manicou Restaurant. It is advisable to book for The Winning Post and Paddock Restaurants to avoid disappointment.

Is there a Cash Machine on the Racecourse?
There is a Link Cash Machine located in the Paddock.
